Exhibition Application

MEDTEC continues to deliver serious key design and manufacturing professionals throughout the economic downturn.

Recession Resistant Industry
Medical technology is also more immune to economic downturns than other industries.

With innovation being driven by the need to minimise hospital stays, new product releases invariably mean less direct cost being borne by health insurers and governmental healthcare providers, making continued investment in R&D throughout the downturn more attractive than in many other industry sectors. For suppliers to the medical technology industry, this offers the ability to work in a niche, but stable and profitable market.

Exhibiting is Easy

Each ‘boutique’ exhibit stand is 2x2m (6’ x 6’) and is equipped with hard walls in white plastic, name board, carpet, power point, a draped table and two chairs. MEDTEC Ireland is designed so that exhibitors only need to bring wall graphics and samples to maximise the efficiency of their participation at the event.

Stand Cost: Only €2,750

For many people, breathing in fresh sea air seems to have a therapeutic effect. It turns out that’s clinically true for people suffering from cystic fibrosis (CF). Scientists observing surfers with CF discovered that the inhaled mist of seawater has a beneficial effect on lung problems associated with the disease. Those findings have been applied [...]

Bio-Patch Measures Bio-electrical Signals and Communicates Wirelessly with Smart Phones

- Wed, 22 May 2013 09:27:00 +0000

A patch that measures EKG, EEG and EMG and communicates wirelessly with a smart phone could help make home healthcare more comfortable. The device, called Bio-patch, also measures body temperature. When bio-patch is placed on the chest, it measures EKG. Placing the device on the skull measures EEG, and attaching the device to the underarm [...]

Researchers Conducting Animal Testing Are Often Threatened, Investigation Finds

- Fri, 17 May 2013 08:58:46 +0000

The use of animal experiments is the elephant in the room in medical research. Among the many questions asked on the floor of a medical trade show, one is usually whispered: “Do you do animal research?” But people avoid the conversation not only because it’s an uncomfortable topic. Researchers conducting animal experiments at companies and [...]
